Sloppy Joe Bruschetta Recipe For A Fun Appetizer
Ingredients
For the sloppy joe mixture:
– 1 pound ground beef
– half of onion, chopped
– 1 green bell pepper, chopped
– 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
– 1 (15 ounce) can tomato paste
– 1 cup water
– half of cup brown sugar
– 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– 1 teaspoon floor mustard
– half teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the bruschetta:
INGREDIENTS FOR THE BRUSCHETTA:
1 loaf French bread, reduce into 1-inch thick slices
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
Salt and pepper to taste
INGREDIENTS FOR THE SLOPPY JOE MIXTURE:
1 pound floor beef
1 onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
To make the sloppy joe combination:
1. In a big skillet over medium warmth, brown the ground beef and onion, stirring sometimes to break up the beef. Once the meat is now not pink and the onion is softened, drain off any excess grease.
2. Stir within the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring the combination to a simmer and then reduce heat to low. Cook for quarter-hour, or till the sauce has thickened.
3. Transfer the sloppy joe mixture to a bowl and put aside to cool slightly.
To assemble the bruschetta:

2. Top with a scoop of recent arugula.
3. Garnish with further shredded cheese, if desired.
